That is exactly how we wanted an ETC vintage tee to feel. 

Simple enough, right? 

Apparently not. 

Finding the right vintage tee fabric became a journey that lasted almost ten years. 

Over that time, we tried different fabrics, weights and finishes, always looking for the same thing: a tee that felt beautifully soft and comfortable from the moment you put it on, while still having enough substance to feel like a quality garment. 

We did not want something stiff and overly structured. 

We did not want something so thin that it lost its shape. 

And we definitely did not want a fabric that felt great the first time you wore it but completely different after a few washes. 

We wanted that elusive, already-loved feeling. 

The kind of tee that feels as though it has been your favourite for years, even when it is brand new. 

There was a lot of trial and error along the way. 

But sometimes the products that look the simplest are the hardest to get right. 

Today, our vintage tees are one of the products we are most proud of. 

They represent a lot of what we want ETC to be about: comfort, personality and clothes that fit naturally into everyday life. 

Throw one on with jeans. 

Wear it under your favourite jacket. 

Pair it with track pants or tights on the weekend. 

Take it travelling. 

Wear it until your family starts asking whether you actually own another T-shirt. 

That is the whole point. 

We believe the best clothes are not necessarily the ones saved for special occasions. They are the pieces that become part of your life. 

And after almost a decade of searching for our ideal vintage tee fabric, we think we have found something you are going to want to wear again and again.
