ETC Frequently Asked Questions:

Do we offer Lay-by, After Pay, Zip & Genoapay? Yes!

Purchase using our lay-by options as payment and not only will you receive your order NOW, the cost is spread over weekly automatic payments that are entirely interest free!  They are a third party website and all questions need to be directed to them, such as credit checks, card issues etc as we have no control over this.

If you would like to purchase using lay-by, all you have to do is:

  1. Once you've filled your cart, head to the checkout and at the payment screen select lay-by
  2. New customers will be taken to the corresponding lay-by website to register and complete their purchase, while returning customers can simply sign in.
  3. Your order is processed immediately. Your payment schedule will be created and only a small percentage of your order is due today, the rest is split over the remaining weeks.

LAYBUY is only available to our New Zealand customers.

Can I exchange my item if I dont like it? As per our T’s & C’s which can be found here: http://www.etcclothing.co.nz/pages/returns-policy/ We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Due to stock demand we cannot exchange items for a different style. You may return any product, with the exception of sale or discounted items, within 30 days of purchase. Items must be returned unworn, unaltered and unwashed. All original packaging and labelling must be returned also. You may return your item only for an exchange of size, store credit, or because the item is faulty. A new item will be sent out in the correct size or to replace the faulty one if you do not request credit. We do not accept returns for swaps of styles. You may receive a credit and spend that on whatever you like when it has been issued. But due to stock demand we do not hold items for people waiting for it to be returned to us. Sale items may not be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty so please do choose carefully. Shipping and handling charges are not refunded unless the original item was incorrect or faulty.

Are your clothes true to size? Every brand has a different way of sizing. Our sizing chart is located on every page with the garment we are selling. The chart is of the actual clothing measurements themselves, not body measurements. We find our pants are a smaller fit, but tops, dresses and other items are more generous.

How long will my item take to get to me? If an item is in stock it will be shipped to you the next business day within reason, if we have an influx of orders on a collection release night it can take up to 2 business days to be packed and picked up by courier. An email will be sent to you with tracking details. If you have entered your correct email address then this will be sent to you. Please check your junk mail. Please ring the courier company with your tracking number if your item has not arrived. 

How do I use my discount code? Your discount code is not automatically applied to your order, you will need to type it into the coupon box to be able to receive your discount.

You can only use 1 x code per transaction when checking out on our website.

If you do not enter your discount code at time of purchase it is not valid. You will not be refunded if you forget to do this or miss this part. 

Please note - a DISCOUNT CODE that ETC Gives as part of a sale means that it becomes a sale item. A discount is a sale, it is an item at a discounted rate therefore it is on sale and not full price.  

It says you have this item in stock, but its not letting me check out? Sometimes if we only have 1 left in a particular item, someone else could have this in their cart, therefore not letting you purchase it until the person either buys the item or deletes their cart, freeing the item up for you.

Can I cancel a Pre - Order?

By purchasing a PRE - ORDER Item from us you are legally entering into a contract for us to order this item for you. After 7 days 'cooling down' period we do not accept any cancellations for PRE-ORDERS. 

By offering pre-order in-store and online it enables you to purchase a new season item before it arrives to our stores.

As soon as the pre-order items are delivered to us we immediately package your products and send them to the address you supply us with when placing your order.All products purchased through our pre-order service must be paid for in full.

The delivery times for each item will depend on our manufacture, and we provide only an estimated time for delivery based on information given to us by our suppliers.

We are not able to ever guarantee or specify delivery dates.

We will notify you immediately by email and refund the purchase price of pre-ordered items if stock from our manufacturers become cancelled or limited within production.

Do you hold stock for people? No Sorry.
